The Employability courses at Blackpool & The Fylde College are for anyone who would like to improve their employability skills.  

 

A Gateway to Employment course could be for you if you are aged 19 or over, have been unemployed for 6 months or more and on Job Seekers Allowance. You can gain skills in various work areas such as Business & IT, Retail, Hospitality, Gaming, CCTV, Health Care & Early Years and Construction.

 

As well as learning valuable work related skills, our job brokers will help you with your CV and link in with local employers to help you get that job!

 

No previous work experience in a related area is necessary and travelling expenses can be paid.

The Employability Skills course could be for you if you would like to improve your chances of employment, improve your IT skills and gain valuable qualifications in Maths and English. As well as learning work related skills and gaining qualifications, our job brokers will help you with your CV and link in with local employers to help you get that job!

 

To be eligible for this programme you need to be unemployed and in receipt of a means tested benefit. Childcare and travelling expenses may be paid by Job Centre Plus and you may also be eligible for a training allowance!
