Networking meetings will provide an opportunity to get to know the local business community. Along with looking for customers you’ll also be able to meet people who can give you friendly advice and peer group support, in a relaxed environment.

 

You will also be able to access support from local agency partners, including Wyre Borough Council, who can give you advice and information to help you to succeed.

Get Started is Intensive Start Up Support and is part funded by the North West Regional Development Agency and the European Union.

 

To do that, we need to ensure that people starting up in business have all the help they need.

Get Started is a business start up service tailored for people in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre offering a comprehensive package of support.

 

A combination of quality advice, training, networking, mentoring and start up finance will help new businesses to survive those difficult early months of trading.

 

This will be delivered entirely byOrvia. who have vast experience of knowing what it takes for individuals to unlock their potential.

 

A group of trained advisors are based in Blackpool. They have been kickstarting hundreds of new businesses in the Fylde Coast over the past three years.

Wyre Borough Council don't provide business advice per-se, but their Economic Development Department will certainly be able to signpost you to appropriate sourcs of business advice and guidance.

 

 

 

THE UNITE WITH BUSINESS PROJECT

The project offers an excellent opportunity for a limited time to access European funded grant focused on helping qualifying businesses to grow.  Unite with Business provides access for 20 days to a paid student or graduate consultant to work on a specific business growth project.  Consultants are paid directly by the university.  The value of the support is over £1000 and is free for qualifying business.
