There are a number of projects at the planning stage in Wyre, which total over £1 billion of investment in the medium term future.

 

One of the main reasons why Wyred Up was established in the first place was to support local businesses to benefit where possible from this investment, and to keep as much of the value in the local supply chain as possible.

 

Projects in the public realm include the following:

 

- £600m investment in a gas fired power station at Hillhouse
- Retail and housing development at Hillhouse

 

- Fish and Food Park at Fleetwood
- Housing development at Fleetwood dockside

- £1.8m Sea Change project at Fleetwood and on the coastline

 

Of course there are always other projects being worked on which are 'works in progress' and aren't yet fully confirmed. One thing you can be sure of, is that where an opportunity exists in Wyre, its potential will be explored.
