Wyred Up exists to provide opportunities and support for Wyre based businesses.

Business Link - can signpost you to almost any type of business support you can imagine, and provide business support through their own advisors.


 

 

Business Venture Group - provide support, advice, access to finance and premises to small businesses, both at the start up stage and beyond. The objective is to pursue the concept of self employment in the community by supporting the creation of sustainable self employment and development of small businesses through the provision of free, impartial and confidential advice, networking with other providers of business support and the public/private. Also manage a range of start up office and workspace units, mostly on Easy in Easy out terms

 

 

LCDL Supported Apprenticeship Project - will help your business to grow whilst giving a young person an opportunity to train for a career. From baker to plumber, any small business can take on an apprentice and receive financial support of up to £60 per week.

 

Lancashire Community Grants - Exist to support small Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector - (VCFS) organisations to deliver innovative and engaging projects that address the barriers faced by deprived communities and individuals in gaining access to employment, skills and learning.

 

 

 

Wyre 4 Business - is a website dedicated to providing businesses with answers and gives you access to five main business support sections:

Local Support and Advice - Details of specific support that can be made available

 

Funding Measures - Available at local, regional and national levels Grants - Although few and far between an overview of local and national grant aid schemes is available

 

Loans - Soft or special loans for businesses, applicable to the industry sector. Awards - Can aid in marketing and product/company promotion

Wyre Borough Council - have an Economic Development and Regeneration Department who will be pleased to assist you with your business query. Depending on the issue it may mean signposting you to another agency, or your particular query may be one which can be dealt with directly.

 

 

The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) - is a £3.9 billion seven year programme (2007-13), jointly funded by the European Union and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). 

 

Its aims are to safeguard and enhance the rural environment, improve the competitiveness of the agricultural sector and foster sustainable and thriving rural businesses and rural economies across England.

SELNET - Social Enterprise Lancashire NETwork is an organisation whic provides help and guidance to Social Enterprises in Lancashire.

 

 

They operate a hub for Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and hold bi-monthly meetings for organisations in the Third Sector.
