Wyred Up is for everyone who lives and works in Wyre.

 

It was originally a project created to encourage Wyre businesses to trade with each other, especially to take advantage of the opportunities that were coming along with planned development in places like Hillhouse Industrial Estate and at the docks at Fleetwood.

 

Over time, Wyred Up has been extended to include everyone, and all the issues that they might have with finding suppliers and local businesses, finding work, accessing training - and really anything to do with making Wyre a vibrant and strong economy and a good place to live for the future!

 

Wyred Up started out by encouraging businesses to trade with each other, and strongly promotes the concept of the general public looking to local suppliers when they need to buy goods and services.

 

There is a fantastic range of companies in Wyre who produce and sell all kinds of things - if you can't find what you need locally then by all means buy outside the area - but at least give it a try first!
