Regeneration in Cleveleys

The multi-award winning Coastal Defence Improvement Enhancement Scheme has protected the town from coastal flooding whilst enhancing and sustaining a vibrant seaside resort.

The Scheme currently extends to the Blackpool boundary and to the end of the main town centre area and to date has seen an investment of £26 million, and winning over 20 awards for design and construction.

This has resulted in an increase in visitors to Cleveleys and strengthened it's position as the leading seaside destination in Wyre.

The next two phases of sea defence work which will transform another significant section of the Wyre coastline are expected to be approved in th enear future, and this could mean the investment of a further £60 million.

Although Cleveleys is a thriving destination there are opportunities within the town and surrounding area for re-development and regeneration.

If you have a plan for transforming an old building or adding to this diverse seaside economy, please get in touch through the Contact Us page and discuss how your plans can be brought to reality.
